This is the factory color scheme as verified on the included PHS documents and trim tag.
These special low production 4 Speed Trans Am's are some of the most sought after collectible TA's on the market.
They continue to increase in value and desirability.
This TA was taken apart and fully restored between 2015-2017.
It has not been used as a trophy queen but used and driven on several Bandit Runs and other road trips.
Its still in great shape but not a perfect concourse trailer queen only driven from show fields and back to the trailer.
Not that there is anything wrong with that.
Exterior The Black exterior was restored around 7 years ago and remains in great overall condition.
This repaint was done in a professional shop and the car was taken apart and the engine and transmission were removed during the restoration.
Photos of this restoration are in the gallery and included with the car.
This Trans Am features a repaint in factory starlight black with new decals and special edition pinstripes.
The paint is in great overall condition and has a very nice gloss and excellent shine.
There are no signs of visible rust anywhere on the body or underneath and both bumpers are in good shape.
There is no bubbling paint or cracked paint due to body filler on this TA.
There was some metal cut in and was done professionally in a body shop.
The underside is very solid and was detailed while the car was painted.
There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but nothing was intentionally excluded from the photos.
Around 2 years after the car was painted in a few places some small paint pimples appeared due to improper prep in those areas.
They are hard to see when a few feet from the car but can be noticed when up close.
New bumper grills and nose emblem were added.
The tires are less than 2 years old and are sized 225/70/15 and the 8 WS6 snowflake wheels were restored with new center caps and lug nuts.
All weather stripping and window sweeps were replaced and are like new.
Trunk is clean with the original spare tire and jack with an original style correct trunk mat.
Interior The Black deluxe vinyl interior of this Trans Am is in restored condition.
The seat covers were replaced with new seat foam with no wear, no rips, or seam splits.
The carpet was replaced as well and is like new with no stains, rips, or holes.
The dash was removed and restored and is in excellent condition with no cracks, no warping, and no fading.
Most importantly this is the original dash, not a dash cap or the like.
The dash bezel was restored by Randy Combs and truly makes the interior.
The stock style am/fm stereo still works and sounds good and thankfully the dash has not been cut for a modern stereo.
The door panels are new and were replaced and are in like new condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact.
The headliner was replaced and the rear package tray was replaced as well and hosts newer JBL speakers.
All interior and exterior lights and gauges work outside of the cigarette lighter and clock.
The dash lights were upgraded to LED lights.
The stereo, wipers, and blower motor all work.
This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever.
The horn is not working.
The factory AC system in in tact but the AC belt was removed a few years ago due to the compressor making noise.
Compressor needs rebuilt or replaced.
Mechanical This Trans Am is in very nice mechanical condition and has been driven on several Bandit Run road trips and other road trips.
Most importantly the original Pontiac W72 400 engine is still in the car with matching numbers, see vin block stamp.
The original engine was rebuilt years ago and removed during the restoration in 2017 and refreshed and painted.
The carb.

The exhaust was replaced with an upgraded muffler which gives this TA a nice rumble at idle and cruising speeds.
A new starter was added.
We have driven this car several times and it always performs well, it rides well, and is always a joy to drive.
The smiles, thumbs up, and attention you get driving this car is addictive.
In the video one can observe this car running and driving and the car handles and performs well.
There is no smoke when starting or driving the car.
It starts right away every time, idles well, and runs good.
The brakes do not pull and stop very well and were fully serviced.
