Only 1710 1979 Trans Am's were produced with factory 4 speed and 301 Pontiac engine with Hardtop.
This car is very special because it still retains its numbers matching original Pontiac 301 engine and 4 speed manual transmission with matching vin stamps.
This TA has remained with its last owner for the past 27 years.
This TA features original paint with original decals, an original Tan deluxe hobnail cloth deluxe interior, the numbers matching 301 Pontiac engine and numbers matching 4 speed manual transmission, and two build sheets and numerous dealer books and brochures.
This TA was heavily rust proofed when new and a copy of the contract is included from the dealer.
Ziebart rust proofing stickers are still in place and you can see the many rust proofing plugs and coatings around the car.
This TA is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combination of Heritage Brown over Tan deluxe cloth interiors.
This is the factory color scheme as verified on the trim tag and factory build sheets pictured above.
The low miles are stated as Actual on the clean Ohio title.

Exterior The Brown exterior is in very good original stock condition.
This TA has original paint with original decals, emblems and moldings and shows well with consistent paint around the car.
The paint is in very good overall condition for its age and still shows well and has a good shine and gloss.
Both bumpers are in great overall shape.
There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but noting was intentionally excluded from the photos.
Tires have good tread left and are correctly sized 225/70/15 and the Rally II OEM wheels are originals and are in nice condition with no curb rash and the trim rings are original and in excellent shape.
The trunk is very solid and clean with the original space saver spare tire, jack and original trunk mat.
This car was Ziebart rust proof undercoated when new and still shows signs of original rust proofing under the car.
The rust proofing really did its job as this car shows no signs of rust or bubbling paint anywhere around the car and no signs of past rust repair and no current rust issues.
Interior The Tan deluxe hobnail cloth interior of this Trans AM is in mostly original near mint condition.
The seat covers are originals and in great overall shape and are very comfortable and the seat foam is supportive.
The rear seats and passenger seats look as if no one has ever sat on them.
The carpet is original and in great overall shape with no major stains or holes.
The original dash is in excellent condition with no cracks or warping or fading.
The dash bezel is in excellent condition as well.
The original door panels are in excellent condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact.
The headliner was replaced and is like new.
And the package tray is original and in great shape.
The stereo was changed to a Pioneer digital Cassette unit with new speakers and thankfully the dash was not cut for a modern stereo.
All interior lights and gauges work as they should including the clock and cigarette lighter.
The horn, stereo, wipers, and rear defrost all work.
The blower motor works on all speeds.
Mechanical This TA is in great mechanical condition and most importantly the original numbers matching Pontiac 301 engine and transmission are still in the car, see vin stamp photos of both above.
This TA runs and drives well, it rides tight, drives well down the road, does not run hot, and drives good.
The engine bay still shows a lot of originality and is stock in appearance.
The brakes work as they should with no pulling from side to side and were serviced some years ago.
The exhaust appears to be original and still has the original catalytic converter in place.
A new distributor and new spark plugs and wires were added.
The rear differential was serviced.
This TA has been loved and meticulously cared for by its previous owners and has been garaged all its life and shows well.
The last owner had this car for over 27 years.
This TA is truly the one to have being a low production car with the factory 4 speed manual transmission.
Very few of these cars were made and very few are still original with low miles like this TA.
This TA is a factory non AC car which really cleans up the engine bay and increases performance.
