This Trans Am was owned by only two people until 2021.
This Trans Am features believed to be mostly original paint in factory Carousel Red, a beautiful stock original interior, the original numbers matching 400 engine and four speed manual transmission, and numerous original dealer booklets/brochures.
This Trans Am has no visible rust and is very solid with great lines and gaps.
This Trans Am is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Carousel Red over Black vinyl interior.
Very importantly the original engine and original four speed transmission are still in the car.
The exterior paint is a one year only color available only in 1976.
The underside of this TA shows incredibly well with lots of original red oxide primer still in place.
No known patches or touch ups on the underside of this TA and no visible corrosion issues to worry about.
Exterior The Red exterior is in very nice mostly unrestored condition.
This Trans Am has believed to be mostly original paint with some touch ups and color touched up rock chips.
Overall the paint is in good condition and shows no visible signs of rust and both bumpers are in good shape.
There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but nothing was intentionally excluded from the photos.
The tires are close to being brand new and have full tread left and are sized 255/60/15 and were replaced around a year and a half ago.
The replacement Rally II wheels are new and are 15x8 in size.
These wheels were purchased from Summit around a year and a half ago.
All weather stripping and window sweeps are in good usable condition.
Trunk is very solid and clean with the original space saver spare tire and jack, with the original trunk mat.
Even the original rear speaker insulation box is still in tact.
Interior The Black vinyl interior of this Trans Am is in wonderful stock original condition.
The seat covers appear to be original covers and are in excellent condition with no major wear anywhere.
The carpet is in good overall original condition with no major stains, rips, or major holes.
The original dash is in excellent condition with no fading or warping and no cracks and the dash bezel is in great condition as well.
The original stereo and 8 track player are still in the car and both are working.
Thankfully the dash has not been cut for a modern stereo.
The door panels appear to be original and are in great condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact.
The headliner and package tray are in great condition.
All interior lights and gauges work as they should outside of the clock.
The horn, wipers, stereo, rear defrost and blower motor all work.
This TA has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever.
Mechanical This Trans Am is in excellent mechanical condition and comes with the original Pontiac 400 engine and the original four speed manual transmission.
A new fuel pump was added recently with new rubber fuel lines from front to back.
The brakes were fully serviced with a new brake booster and master cylinder and new brake calipers and pads and new wheel cylinder and brake hoses.
A new alternator was added.
A new fan clutch was added.
New spark plug wires and spark plugs were added.
New vacuum lines were installed in engine bay.
New heavy duty clutch was installed around 4000 miles ago.
We have driven this car numerous times and it always performs well, it does not run hot, rides tight, and always a joy to drive.
In the video one can observe this car running and driving with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car handles and performs well.
This Trans Am is an exceptional driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds.
There is no smoke when starting or driving the car.
It starts right away every time, idles well, and runs excellent.
The brakes were serviced and do not pull and stop as they should.
Newer Flowmaster exhaust was added and it has an amazing exhaust note at idle and cruising speeds.
Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos.
This is a factory NON AC car which really cleans up the engine bay and adds to performance.
