Software Engineer - Data Warehousing

ABOUT YOU You've built sophisticated data warehouses using one or more mainstream enterprise database systems such as Microsoft SQL Server, Hadoop, or Oracle and you're chomping at the bit to try another. You think about Big Data and always notice when your queries are executing just 0.1 second too long.  Working with more junior developers gets you excited for the coaching opportunities, and more senior developers for the learning. Grokking the business requirements is second-nature. You own what you wrote and jump in to help your team support the product when there's a fire, and when the smoke clears you're one of the first to say "ok, how can we make sure that doesn't happen again?". You're passionate and opinionated about great reporting experiences; and most importantly, you love building real, working data warehouses that make developing analytics a cinch. WHAT YOU'D BE DOING Under general supervision of the Manager of Software Engineering, the Software Engineer is primarily a back-end engineer who performs work assignments in one or more of the following areas: providing technical guidance and direction to other staff members; participating in project planning and requirements definition; database/warehousing design, database/warehousing development, support during QA and User Acceptance Testing, implementation and integration; customer support for and technical expertise in end-user decision support software tools and end-user computing technology; conducting all activities in accordance with standards and procedures. MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Design, develop, test, deploy, and support new database solutions and changes to existing database solutions Troubleshoot technical issues in a variety of database environments Demonstrates competence across the technologies used by the team Works under some supervision Owns and completes tasks as active contributor to the team Delivers to production EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE B.S. in computer science or information systems fields required or 5+ years related work experience. 2-5 years of working database warehousing experience. 1-3 years of working software engineering experience. SSIS, SSAS Cubes experience desired. Tableau experience desired. Experience working with Agile and/or Lean software development approaches. JY183608

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
